The ad hoc, all volunteer Solid Waste Analysis Group formed in 2008. Our mission was to evaluate the entire scope of proven operating systems and technology involved in MSW management, recycling, and anaerobic digestion coupled with compost production.

Our overarching goal was to examine the best operating techniques that offered optimal efficiency and ROI in tandem with analyzing the potential benefits of collocating successful system elements to create a synergized and integrated complex for high value recovery.

Collocation of all necessary facilities requires substantial site acreage.

Unfortunately, most operating systems are unlikely to have suitably obtainable property and funding ability. This conundrum can only be overcome with creative vision, suitable public- private partnerships, jurisdictional cooperation, and most importantly a Committed Champion.

There will not be many opportunities where all elements can be assembled; nevertheless continuing to pursue this ideal has the potential to bring forth a superior and unique model for a valid closed loop system as well as creating a regional economic powerhouse.
