Properly structured standards demonstrate how easy curbside preparation allows for cost-neutral recycling. All disposal of non-recycled residual must be borne by the producers. Calibrated-EPR standards will facilitate nationwide uniformity and place all recycling chain players on the same page with a priority on  reducing virgin feedstock required for new single use plastic.  Initially increasing post consumer recycled content by 25-30%, then elevating the level of recovered feedstock until demand requires virgin input.
